The ADHD Edition

A live six-week program for adults with ADHD and AuDHD. Created by an ADHDer, for ADHDers.

I'll draw on over a decade of work with clients, a wide range of therapies and my training as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology to teach the strategies that actually work for ADHD brains.

Starts Tuesday 13 October · 12 live sessions · Online

$597 $797 – early bird until Sunday 27 September

Hi, I'm Dr Amanda

I'm a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, founder of Mindworx Psychology in Sydney and of Think Differently. I'm also an ADHDer, a working mum and a multi-business owner.

I run every session myself, live. You get what I know as a clinician and what I've had to work out for my own brain, with a fair bit of humour along the way.

Tap any statements that are true for you today

Each one opens a short explanation and something to try today.

Tired of trying to figure out your brain?

Tired of wondering what's wrong with you.

Tired of being tired.

The people who join are business owners, clinicians, lawyers, teachers, engineers, mothers. Mostly late-diagnosed or not diagnosed at all. Mostly very good at their jobs, and very tired.

Everyone ready for change.

How it runs

Something very special happens in a group. Someone says the thing you thought only you did, and half the group says "same".

Twelve live sessions over six weeks.

Two a week, both at lunchtime, both online.

Join live, or catch up on the Tuesday recordings.

Tuesdays · 1pm AEDT

The ideas

One concept, something I want you to know about ADHD and mapping your brain, properly explained – I'll be translating science into something you can use later the same afternoon.

These sessions are recorded, and you keep the recordings.

Thursdays · 1pm AEDT

Doing it together

We open the room and actually do the work together. Map the profile. Audit the week. Build the thing. Ask me a question.

If you've body doubled before, you'll know why this exists. If you haven't – it's the difference between owning a workbook and having filled one in.

Dates
Tuesdays 13, 20, 27 October and 3, 10, 17 November
Thursdays 15, 22, 29 October and 5, 12, 19 November
1pm AEDT (midday Brisbane, 10am Perth)

What we'll work on

  • What ADHD is – and isn't
  • Your neurotype and nervous system, and why you might feel 'sensitive' sometimes and unaware at others
  • Time blindness, overwhelm and the other challenges – why they happen, and how to put the right supports in place
  • Routines and rhythms that fit your energy patterns, not someone else's
  • Parts work with your inner critic
  • A strengths-based approach that leaves words like 'disorder' and 'deficit' behind

That doesn't mean pretending it's easy. It isn't.

Chronic lateness is a real problem, a list of to-do items not getting done is a real problem, and so is lying awake wondering if you upset someone by being too quiet – or too much.

But almost every ADHDer I've worked with has spent years being told the problem is effort, when the problem was that nobody ever explained how their brain works.

Why The ADHD Edition is built differently

You've read the books. You've saved the reels. You've bought the planner, downloaded the app and started the routine that was going to change everything.

Most ADHD courses hand you a finished system and ask you to fit into it. When it stops working, it's easy to decide the problem was you.

The ADHD Edition works the other way round. You get the concepts, then we work out what yours look like.

You are unique. What works for you won't be the version that works for the person next to you. Your energy peaks, crashes, and deep work windows are unique to you. Your blind spots and strengths are yours. That's the whole point of doing it in a small group with someone who can help you learn which two or three things matter for your brain, and which ones you can stop feeling guilty about ignoring.

About the body doubling

Body doubling is working alongside other people, cameras on, everyone doing their own thing. No talking, no sharing, nobody watching what you're doing. For some people it's the only reliable way they start anything. Other people find it makes their skin crawl.

You won't know which you are until you try it, and this is a low-stakes place to find out. If it isn't for you, skip it. The rest of the program doesn't depend on it.

We'll be on zoom with break out rooms, so we will also use the time for questions and actually putting things in place, rather than adding it to a list for later.

Who it's for

  • Adults diagnosed, or newly diagnosed, with ADHD or AuDHD
  • People who suspect they may have ADHD and want to learn more
  • Parents whose child was just diagnosed, who are now wondering 'Is this me?'
  • People who look nothing like the diagnostic criteria because they've been compensating their whole life
  • People who have watched Tik-Tok, know what ADHD is but not how to translate that into things that actually help.

If you don't finish things

You've bought a course before and not finished it. Most of us have.

This one is built to be dipped into. The concept sessions are recorded and the recordings are yours to keep, so a week you miss isn't a week you've lost. Body doubling is there if it helps and ignored if it doesn't.

You don't have to complete The ADHD Edition for it to be worth doing. Take one thing from it and actually use it, and you're ahead of where you started.
